Jazz hands!

I seem to be able to take nothing but blurry images at the moment. But this one was the most fun so that's what you get.

School christmas concert tonight. This years theme was Christmas around the world. They did brilliant especially as the peedie class was decimated by the tummy bug going around at the moment and down to only 3 kids. Still, the show must go on and with the moral support of a few kids from the big class for the numbers that the younger kids were doing on their own, they were superb.

The songs were interspersed with interesting facts about christmas in other countries and a fun 'Radio Mix Up' sketch. The Christmas story was told in 'Countdown to Christmas' and the audience got to join in with a few carols.

The kids seemed to really enjoy doing a lot of actions to the 'Cowboy carol' and excelled themselves with a New Zealand version on the 12 days of Christmas. Which started, according to the kids, with the gift of a 'Poo gecko in a Pongo tree'. No one was quite sure whether this was the correct words or not, but it was sung beautifully.

After the concert we had the obligatory raffle (nothing happens around here without a raffle!!) and then we served up mincepies and shortbread to the crowd and everyone had a natter.
