Tuesday 7 December 2010: Walking Home

School for Bros 1&2 today!

They weren't too keen mind you but a brisk trudge through deep snow in a temperature of -14 at 8.30am to get to school soon woke them up. Once again I was truly thankful that I bust the budget last winter and invested in an all terrain pram for Bro4 because without it we wouldn't have had a hope of getting anywhere near school.

Bro3 declared himself far too tired to walk back to school this afternoon so to avoid an almost certain tantrum halfway there I agreed to pull him on his sledge. Madness perhaps but pushing the pram with one hand and pulling the sledge with the other is a far better option than dealing with a Bro3 strop in this weather.

The walk home with them this afternoon was decidedly warmer than this morning at an almost tropical -8. The mercury is falling fast again now so who knows how cold it'll get again tonight.
