Sailor's home

Last night's arthouse movie 'The Secret in their Eyes' was excellent. Well filmed, well acted and a good mixture of suspense, mystery, romance, a little black humour and a strong plot with lots of twists. Recommended. Driving home, the skies were clear and cold but we only saw 2 shooting stars - we were hoping to see the tail end of the supposedly spectacular shower that crossed the previous night.

The fruit cage has just been completed and we are all delighted. Too dark to blip tonight but maybe tomorrow. Today's pic is of the road leading down into Luc's home. Luc is a proper sailor - a big beard, wellies, thick jersey tucked into his jeans. You can see one of his boats here
This is a nice little corner with the stone wall, fuchsia hedges and hand painted sign. There is a little holiday cottage down the road and this was where we stayed in our first ever visit to Ireland!
Tonight is the Ladies' Book Club bash and I have just made Stilton and leek flan for the occasion. No books will be discussed tonight, just a lot of chat and eating and the odd glass of liquid refreshment :)
