Practically alpine!

The Christmas play went very well - a packed church and the children in good form. The smalls sang and twitched and waved, forgot their lines and had fits of giggles. The littlest boy was late arriving and entered the church roaring. He was scooped up, Santa hat plonked on him just in time for a rendition of Rudolph. The big room did their own unique take on the X Factor with contestants ranging from The Angels, to Mary and Joseph to the 2 Kings (!). The panel of judges, yes Simon Cowell et all, presided over proceedings. As there are only 9 children in the class they were kept very busy and performed with gusto!

Woke up to a smattering of snow, bright and beautiful. I delivered the last of the Christmas cards then zoomed into Bantry for a spot of shopping. There are no poinsettias to be had but Cava is on offer. The view across to the Beara was spectacular. The mountains were white with interesting clouds going on; the island in front was bright green and sea an amazing blue. All boats in now.

Himself has decorated the house with holly and ivy. A quiet night in is needed.
