Its now GMT -2, and we have sea, sea, sea as far as we can sea see. We also have a fair wind, but the upside, is we don't have snow blizzards and it is beginning to feel hot.
My heart really bleeds for you all in the UK..............!

We've had a shore to ship telephone call this morning to tell us about a burst water pipe in my step daughter's flat and as she is away from home, people needed to know where the keys were and the water stopcock.

It's amazing that modern technology can instantly contact us when we're thousands of miles away in the North Atlantic, but can't prevent burst pipes in the cold weather.

The formal dress code last night for dinner proved not to be so traumatic for me but surprisingly more so for his Lordship who found that on board eating comes at a price and that the evening suit he did remember to take felt ever so slightly tight for comfort. Welcome to a woman's world, my dear!

Our busy schedule for today includes a lecture by Sir Robert Winston, a gym visit, a classical piano recital this afternoon, a formal dinner tonight and the theatre afterwards. We might also have time to fit in a launderette wash...... or not.

As we jogged along the deck after breakfast we noticed the open door to what I presume is the anchor room. I can't ever remember seeing anything so clean in my life.

Here it is in all its primary colours.
