Took a day trip to Timaru to see T&E today.

Mother and a nephew M came with me and of course Robbie. Raining when we left home but cleared up just prior to arriving in Timaru.

Lovely leisurely lunch, browsed family photos taken at Christmas and caught up on all the family gossip. T&E well but T a bit more addled than when last seen.....bloody Alzheimer's.

After a nana-nap and a cuppa with christmas cake we were on the road heading home. Stopped at Katiki beach, where this image was discovered, for a lovely breath of fresh sea air and to lket Robbie have a free run......he just loves it.

Fish and chips at Waikouaiti from the best fish and chip shop anywhere, and eaten down on the river bank with birdsong and the occasional plop of a rising fish to serenade the senses. Lovely.

Home as the sun was setting and ..... so to bed.
