Leila's Arms

The best Sunday lunch in the world is served by this restaurant. I say that with confidence.

A review by Fodor says:

Intended to be an example in sustainable living, this friendly and informal restaurant serves fabulous lunches made mostly from organic ingredients at a great price.

The classic is a baked sweet potato smothered with creamy chicken, cheese, olive oil, spinach, salsa, dates, and fresh herbs.
There is always a slow-cooked lamb dish, either curry or bredie (stew).

The crockery is from a local potter and you won't find two matching plates.

Leila's is on a farm just outside George; the turnoff is signposted on Montagu Street about 1 km (½ mi) on the airport side of Fancourt.
Lunch is only served weekdays Tuesday-Friday.
There's also a three-course Sunday lunch.

It was very good.
