Playing my Joker

I'm a beer snob. 'Snob' has such negative connotations, but I really can't see what the problem is being a snob in these circumstances. Miller, Bud, Tennents, McEwans, Stella etc etc etc etc. Gassy, bitter, tasteless, mass-produced, vile, rat's piss that is good for one thing - getting you drunk and not much else. People seem scared of 'taste' for some reason.

So here we have 4 wonderful Scottish beers as an antidote to the supermarket-peddled-50p-a-can garbage. William Brothers Joker IPA and Ceilidh IPA, Knops California Common, and Isle of Skye Hebridean Gold.

Snob I may be, but my beer has flavour and is not just a route to getting squiffy. Hmmm, and the Ceilidh is already gone... Better go and make the burgers for tonight's dinner (another path away from mass-produced, salty, oily, watery frozen burgers) to go into homemade wholegrain mustard rolls (ditto).

Snob? Or just getting it right?

Yours, a happy snob.
