One small step for (adult) man....

Our Sunday outing today was to Bishops Knoll which my sister had visited a few weeks ago. Always fairly keen to go to a part of Bristol that we have not yet seen we set out.

Old formal gardens with stairs and a wrought iron gazebo, decaying greenhouse and many specimen trees seemed to give an opportunity for a bit of blipping and more importantly some Star Wars Shooting which, if I'm correct, involves the boys running around with sticks shooting at the clones (imagined).

The family have gone off for Sunday afternoon tea and cakes (very civilised) down the road leaving me behind to plan next weeks' lessons (not to blip). I have been fairly successful in the planning but Sunday afternoon really isn't the time to commit to work.

Still, look on the bright side - Jarvis is on the radio, I've half built a lego cement mixer (missing bits frustration notwithstanding) and it's a good time to be indoors (grey and raining outside).

The photograph captures Son #2 focussing on a bit of stair climbing. How much do we take for granted just being able to walk around? As One day at a time found out to his cost, it's only when we fall over that we realise this walking is quite a clever skill after all!

The alternative was gazebos, steps or a rotting greenhouse. Son #1 made a strong showing with his Star Wars lightsaber/blaster/stick but it was a bit Robert Capa on the clarity front.
