Full flood

This is the fullest I've seen the Ribble in three years working in Preston - the result I assume of winter melt in the Dales more than this wet weekend. The foreground shows that it does get higher.

Behind (upstream) is the tramway bridge, originally part of an unfulfilled dream of connecting the Lancaster Canal to the Leeds and Liverpool to the south.
