Alpujara mountains

We did not get out of the car that often today as it was snowing very heavily, so our blips were taken from the same spot. I have always wanted to visit these mountains so today was a special treat despite the weather. I was not disappointed, the countryside is wild and wonderful, the many white villages are perched precariously on the tops of the mountains and hanging onto cliff faces. Although many northern Europeans have settled here, the area remains unspoilt. If there are any expensive properties they are well hidden, most of the houses seem small and simple.
We are just about to go out to explore the beach of the resort town of Nerja and find a bar.
