Luxury nesting boxes

We got these lovely nesting boxes (Nr. 36 & Nr. 38) from Miss Noway and her husband for Christmas. Well, actually nr. 36 (in the foreground) was given to Z's mum, but she hasn't got a garden, so she asked if we could put it up on our allotment. Today was the first really sunny day after Christmas - so it was nice to be out and work in the garden.

We only had one very old nesting box before - so this will be a great improvement for the local bird community. The guy who made them wants us to report every autumn if they have been used - and who were the tennants.
