horns of wilmington's cow

Oh Swanny....

Got out this morning on the bike, despite working from home. Call it a simulated commute. Trying to get into the habit - and it made me feel virtuous this morning given it was snowing when I left, before turning to a beautiful blue sky. And all for a bird....

Or an attempted bird. An Iceland Gull to be precise, which I still haven't seen. St Margaret's, Dunsapie and Duddingston Lochs were scoured, as was the Figgate Pond, but to no avail. But it was nice to get a bit of fire in the legs riding up Arthur's Seat on the fixed wheel, feeling the rear wheel try to spin on the ice, and being rewarded with a fabulous view of East Lothian.

Day spent at home checking emails, dealing with the (not much) work that was coming in and finishing off a new cycling video (only click if you want to see a grown man Vogue-ing. Trust me, it 'aint pretty).

The on to dough-making for rolls, scratchings from some leftover pig skin in the fridge, and dinner for the pair of us.

Not heard about the new job. Naturally I start thinking the worst. We'll see... Tomorrow is back into the office, which should be fine. Lots of filing to get things organised for the office move, praying that the phone will ring from the recruitment agents, and getting some writing done for the week-away relaunch of citycycling. Busy busy busy. No time even for ranting! Will try harder tomorrow... ;)

How do they get into the air???
