Life's Rich Tapestry

It was a " oh bugger off" morning today, then it was all made right again by me pulling my bloody socks up and telling me that all would be ok and once again it was.
I have my half day off from work on a Thursday; finished and went fabric shopping
( rock n roll ) and then for a big run ( more about that later ).
This was some of the fabric in the material shop, in Bradford there are many Asian fabric shops, always vibrant and awash with colour and really good bargains to be had.
The rich colours made me think of the phrase " Life's rich tapestry ". My life is always full, it's not always as I wish and sometimes there are sad times. Today was one of those. I thought about people that have been major influences in my life that are no longer here, people that have carved a place for themselves in my heart that have now gone, for ever .
Life is full of people in our lives : family, friends, acquaintances, colleagues, lovers, some permanent , some transient .... they all make us who we are and that's just the way life is.
What makes things even more interesting is not just the people that have gone but the unknown people that we have yet to meet who will influence us and who will be there for a reason and who we will similarly give something to in return .
The future is unknown and what's round the corner is very exciting and more to the point
" who ".
So that was the day dreaming , away with the philosophy to ameliorate my mood, I got on with real life to gee me up.
This morning, I appear to have signed up for a crazy running challenge , an Adidas sponsored run called " The Adidas Thunder run " ( some minor detail about 24 hr long ,off road ,relay race ), on the back of that I went for a serious training run . The endorphins did the trick of lifting the spirits.
Sorry about the long Blip, I guess I needed the catharsis .
Hope it's been good for you all
x
Ps ( like this needs a bloody " PS" ) got my new computer today , three weeks without , this means I can finally work out how to do all the yellowy arrowy linky things, yay!
