In-between the seconds

Sleep

Slow lazy start to the day, picked up to the speed of tea early afternoon, as the sun came out so did we. We (me, hubby and the cat who wasn't invited but when does a cat listen?) went for a wander around the village said a few "bonjours" and got invited for supper next week. From the bottom of the village there is a lovely walk that takes you past the graveyard.

The French graveyard is a very different affair to the English. They are often on the outskirts of the village surrounded by a wall. The older plaques are metal in blue or black on white, here, as we are in a ceramic region, there are a lot made a clay which has a very personal feel to them.

The eternal sleepers of Neuvy-Deux-Clochers have a wonderful of the lake and surrounding hillside.

Our brief walk was followed by a nap.
