Red and Roses

I know it's a naff, commercial holiday but I don't mind. I loved waking up to find a trail of clues left by my absent amour leading me to little love tokens (although if you are looking my love that last one is a mystery to me. Hope it's not perishable and if it is you better call soon!) The look on my daughter's face when I presented her with two dozen apricot roses will cheer me all day.

The teenage girls are gathering today to perform pagan rituals to celebrate singledom. They plan on consuming copious amounts of ice cream and cake. It's an all round excellent day so far.
