Sit Com Style River Slippages

Muddy Monday
First day of half term and lashings of sleet and mud to inspire .. hmm what could we make with those staple ingredients ?
It's days like this that you have to just think " If you can't beat em join ' em " , so we joined the elements and went down to the same woods as yesterday .
High points :
1: Daughter 2 playing hide n seek and changing the rules so that when I find her it doesn't count because " That's not fair you looked too hard for me "
2: Feeding the ducks on the canal, narrowly avoiding a terrible ducky incident as cake and bread thrown too enthusiastically were millimetres away from hitting their frontal lobes. Happy ducks and no need for me to dash over and do neuro obs on them.
3: Playing by the river , this shot is the girls conspiring against me. I love it. When they get on, they get on very well . Apparently they were plotting to pretend that they would fall in the muddy sand by the river.

Anyway, no plotting required as needless to say at least one of us had a Terry N June style accident resulting in a welly almost being lost to the river banks.

Home to hot chocolate and we had stopped at the art shop and stocked up on paints, canvases and card . We have spent hours making a Moshi Monsters poster to frame .
For those of you not in the MM know , it's a series of cartoon characters that all look like the designer had a noteable LSD habit, they are on collectable cards and kids use them to barter swaps with more ruthlesness than the football premiership transfer process ...!!
