Tuesday 7 February 2012: Still sick
Jack came home from school Friday sick...and he's still dealing with it. I ended up taking him to the doctors yesterday, after a few days of a mild fever and terrible cough. The doctor said it was just a virus, so she couldn't give him antibiotics for it, but she detected the start of conjunctivitis in one eye. She prescribed some eye drops to catch it early.
I couldn't believe how much the drops were, even with insurance helping pay for the prescription, it still cost $70 out of pocket! I wasn't expecting that!!
Jack is starting to act a little more like normal today, at least he's joking around and smiling, something I've really missed over the last couple of days. He still has the cough, although it sounds like it's starting to clear up and he finally has no fever.
I don't think he'll go to school tomorrow either, I want to give it one more day...we don't want him in school with the chance of infecting other kids. We got his homework today so hopefully he won't be so behind. We even worked on his first 'project'....it was for ''100 days of school''. We made a night scene on foam board, with a total of 100 stars, planets & rocket ships!
This little sparrow hung around on the railing today waiting its turn for the feeder!
