Poppy

Such a beautiful morning though a little chilly.

I went out on my bike and almost wished I had put gloves on as my hands were a little cold.

I was just about to resign myself to another cow photo when this little dog appeared at my feet. Her owner hadn't seen me lurking at the fence with my camera and called out to her as she feared she was going to bark at the cows.

She was such a friendly little dog so I asked her owner if I could take her photo. She was happy to let me but Poppy wouldn't stay in one place long enough. Her owner was in a wheelchair and so called on Poppy to jump onto her lap. I did warn her that she would be in the photo too. She just laughed and said, 'I haven't even done my hair but it doesn't matter'.

I did think that this is what makes it such a natural photo but we all want to preen ourselves before a photo is taken.

I feel you can clearly see the affection between dog and owner in this.
