Where river meets ocean...

......I have taken this before when we were here 4 years ago, just after Aidan & Kaylene got married we, plus lots of wedding guest friends, came up to Port Douglas for some more fun.

This time I hope I have made a better job of it, although you have to be quick as there isn't much parking and is on the main highway. I just love the curves and simplistic look to it, even down to the lone tree - it must enjoy salt water. It is probably much better in large.

What have we done today.....Doug & I are early rises and considering we are two hours behind NZ means we wake anytime between 4 - 6 am. This morning we decided to go for a walk, but poor Doug just couldn't manage it so returned and read our books. I also deleted a heap of photo's from yesterday's trip.

The kids emerged late, then we pootled into the shopping area, they went to the pub while Doug & I did some shopping. Got myself an dress to go to a wedding in the Marlborough Sounds in three weeks, I am also doing the photo's, nail biting stuff!!

Enjoyed lunch at an Irish Bar called......wait for it - Paddy's Bar, just fancy that!!

Now we are all sitting outside on our terraces, enjoying a drink, Aidan is in the pool, Doug & Kaylene are reading and you know what I am doing. But very soon to be in the pool.....Here is a couple of picies just to make you envious!!!

Rainie (who is having a mighty fine holiday)
