Lamb tagine

Today’s the day ..................... for food on the go

Luggage was kept to a minimum as we set off from Oxenholme Lake District station to head south to the Big City.

But there was one thing that had to go – and that was the first night’s meal.  We were staying in an Airbnb apartment in London, where we would have full cooking facilities.  But I knew that we would all be tired by the time we found our way there and just want to eat with the minimum of fuss.  Marc and Marie Claire would have come all the way from Voiron in the south west of France – and this was their first time in the capital so it would all be a bit strange.

I’m glad to say it all worked out without a hitch.  We all managed to get where we were supposed to be – and the lamb tagine travelled well - strapped to Will’s suitcase ......................
