Today's the day ............................ for the world to go mad

Seriously - this is just a step too far.

Outside a florist's shop in Kendal today next to the sprigs of mistletoe tied with a festive ribbon (£7.50) and the Christmas wreaths, there was a box of daffodil bunches.  They were still in tight bud and had no doubt been flown here from foreign parts.

The point is - we haven't even got to Christmas yet.  Daffodils belong to the spring and we need time and space to look forward to them and enjoy all that they signify.  If we carry on like this, we're going to meet ourselves coming backwards.

Or am I the only one that feels this ......................?
