Today's the day ...................... for a newborn

We've had a very special arrival recently in our neck of the woods and here she is.  Allow me to introduce you to Sophie, who at one week old, is just the most gorgeous little baby ever.

We went across the road to make her acquaintance this afternoon - but she'd soon had enough of us - and fell asleep immediately.  According to Mum and Dad, she doesn't do enough of this during the actual night.  But as far as I remember, this is par for the course at this stage in life.

It's a very special thing to get to cuddle a newborn baby and feel the tiny weight of her in your arms.  A fleeting moment in her young life that we were so happy to share ......................
