The Royal Mile 7 - The Statue of David Hume

This statue is situated in front of Edinburgh's High Court building (formally the Sheriff Court). It was completed by sculptor Sandy Stoddart in 1995.

David Hume (1711-1776) was a Scottish philosopher, historian, economist and essayist known for his philosophical empiricism and skepticism. He concluded that desire rather than reason governed human behaviour. One of his famous quotes says "Reason is, and ought only to be the slave of the passions."

Another back blip. This was my second day of being unable to use my computer due to the hard drive on my computer deciding to crash at the wrong time! Oh well, these things happen.

I was really tired after a very long week of first not sleeping at my flat and secondly trying to get my flat in order after the shower works. This was just the last straw! Hahaha!
