Shieldaig, Loch Torridon

This morning I was out early to pick up the boat and head north. B & I have visited Loch Torridon at the late May bank holiday for five years now, with our boat Carpe Diem. Each time we bring along a couple of "guest" divers. This time, as last year, our party included fellow blipper Cyclops and newcomer (to this trip) S.

The drive up to Torridon takes us through some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland, the last section from Kinlochewe to Shieldaig passes through the Ben Eighe National Nature Reserve, an awesome place - in the true sense of the word!

This is the view from our B&B, Kinloch, looking over to Shieldaig. The slipway we use to launch and recover the boat is just below the white cottages.
