Loch Bracadale

Now THAT is better. Okay, so it was still a little windy, but save sheltering from one rain-depositing cloud that we'd watched meander over the Western Isles for about an hour before, the sun meant sun cream might have been a sensible precaution.

We headed out to Waternish Point from Trumpan. A 9 mile-ish out-and-back to an unmanned solar powered lighthouse hurling out into the sea giving great views of some wildlife such as Bouncing Lambs, Arctic Terns, Great Skuas, Gannets, an Arctic Skua, Seals, Skylarks, a Buzzard having a poo, and a first distant view of a White Tailed Eagle (something I'm determined to get a decent shot of this year after a fuzzy view last year down at Talisker Bay).

Trumpan church holds a memorial to Lady Grange, who in the 18th century, was kidnapped on the orders of her husband, the then Lord Advocate, and taken to St Kilda for ten years. She died on Skye at 60, still effectively a prisoner.
