SWING!

We had a lovely leisurely start to the morning. Katie slept well, although ended up in my bed at 3am because I was tired out so she just had her snuggle in with me and we both stayed there til 6. I dozed on the sofa downstairs for an hour whilst she played around me. Every now and again she'd come and hug me round my neck or stroke my face. Occasionally, she'd climb up and sit on me for a bigger cuddle.

Our usual friday fun is cancelled this week, so we went and got some jobs done. We've a collection of birthdays, celebrations etc coming up so that was dealt with. I even got a couple of cute but bargainy things for Katie as tesco's children clothes are half price til tomorrow. She got a really cute dress that i've been looking at for a while. It was reduced and then half that price! Today's interesting mission whilst we were out was that Katie decided she did want any shoes (or boots) on at all. Barefoot was the only thing she wanted!

We came back - saying hello to the cows on the way ("there they are" she exclaimed as we passed them on the roadside) and went to the library. She went in asking for Helen and thankfully Helen arrived not long after we'd been there. Katie was playing on the lifesize (but friendly!) crocodile cushion and trying to stand on the dragon rocker

She had a sleep after her lunch before we went out for a walk and a play. I managed to get her to put sandals on before we left. She wanted to go on the swings, so we went to a different park which was nearest by. She's not much into anything apart from the swings in the park at the moment. She decided we were going to explore by the stream and the bridge, but thankfully didnt' want to go in - the clouds were rather threatening and indeed we only just missed the downpour that followed. But she did then love jumping in the puddles that it created.
