Ratings - the results

Well, it's been a nail-biting week, but the results are in and we can now confirm that the nays have it - the ratings system will remain in place.

We understand this might disappoint some of those who voted to change the system, but we'd ask everyone to bear in mind what we said last week:

- there simply isn't a campaign by any individual to rate images '1'
- a '1' rating is no less valid than any other rating
- if you don't like ratings just switch them off

So, that's officially the end of the ratings debate - thanks to all those who've taken the time to vote over the last week.
