Street Politics, Street Economics, Street Debate or Conference Street?....call it what you like...hell, they may have been talking about last night's Coronation Street....but there was a lot of hand language.

You see, I was people watching while on the phone and caught these two deep in chat with hand animation that would make Brown and Blair struggle to keep up. It was extraordinary how much hand and arm movement was required to make the points.

On a cigar break to the left is Bill Jamieson. (link's a bit dated - he's Economics top boy with The Business and The Scotsman now). A legend in these parts and always open to questions, he has such a jolly manner when on tv or in the flesh but is an economic tiger. Top man.
