To See New Englandly

Tease

Although it took nearly two months to accept that Halloween was over, my daughter is doing better with accepting that Christmas is over. She's ready to start dying Easter eggs and wanted to make some Easter cards today. And who can blame her? Unseasonably warm weather has even prompted the daffodils in my front yard to poke their leaves out of the thawing ground in December.

This seems to be a short-lived anomaly; snow is in the forecast for tonight, and my daughter and one of her friends are currently playing "Princess Christmas." Phew. Back to normal.

Edit: Lest anyone think these crazy daffodils are a harbinger of spring, I wanted to clarify that they don't bloom until mid-April in our area! I'm afraid these poor sprouts, as Mr Smith said below, are doomed.
