Addie and Her Toys

Took some snaps of Addie playing with one of her toys. I think this one started out as Emma's but Addie claimed it. (All she has to do is slobber one a bit and then Emma's not so keen to keep it). Though, I have to say, Addie is actually very good about keeping to her own toys. Just every now and then there's something she particularly cares for. That and my socks.

Addie sleeps on our bed (we have a king size but she still manages to claim most of it somehow.) She always has to have one or two toys up there with her. It blows my mind how much of a person she is. Like when she dreams. Cracks me up. You see her legs moving and hear her ruffing as her eyes do REM. She's obviously chasing something or braking at the mail man. Always makes me smile. Sometimes she gets kind of blue or anxious and snuggles up with us. Usually though she likes to stay at the end of the bed. (I think it's because we cuddle and fuss with her too much. It's hard not to)

A lot of the time we do curse the dog hair and the difficulty of planning trips and taking vacations. But we can't imagine not having a dog, and particularly not having Addie. She's really our first child.
