Furry budding

After yesterday's celebration of dead plants we thought it was time for something more springlike. This bud of the slipper orchid Paphiopedilum 'Pinocchio' is starting to open - we hope to blip the flower some time soon.

Lots of snow falling outside - hope it stays for a while!
