It's The Little Things...

A shot of Holly's antibiotics and the "dispenser" thingy. Not sure what bright spark designed this contraption. It's basically a plastic test tube with a scoop on top. Obviously thought up by someone who never had to use the damn thing.

First, it's near impossible to measure the dosage with any degree of accuracy. Very hard to pour the liquid in with any measure of flow control and then it's very hard to actually see the level the thick white goopy fluid is at. Then trying to pour a "little" out is no mean feat. The surface tension resulting from the small diameter of the tube means the contents coming out in large gulps. Grrrh!

Secondly, cleaning it is a pain. It's not practical to get a finger down the thing to help dislodge the viscous residue. Just putting it under a stream of water works until it quickly fills up and then you find it's too deep and too narrow for any effective circulation to happen! Jeez! The only effective way is to fill it half way and then block the top with your thumb and shake like crazy. Then repeat 3 or 4 times.

How thoroughly I despise you...you...test tuby thing!

Ah. I feel a little better now.
