Church concert.

We had a lovely evening at this church in Iona, (Cape Breton Island!). A concert given by "Ensemble Polaris" - 8 wonderful musicians playing a most amazing collection of interesting instruments: hurdy gurdy, bagpipes, nyckelharpa, flutes, cello, violin, drums and more! A very eclectic sound, mixing pieces from all over the world! From Scotland to Scandinavia and the Baltic countries...and of course some east coast Canadian.

The old church seen here, in Iona - has no electricity, so when the sun went down, the kerosene lamps were lit, creating a very beautiful atmosphere!
