Middle of the night

Officially in these parts the sun set yesterday at 22.24 and rose at 03.59 this morning. However it doesn't really get dark at all. Unless there is a lot of cloud cover it is light enough to see well.

I took this at about 00.14 this morning. I was tempted to wait until midsummer but thought I'd best take advantage of the lovely night. It could be dark clouds and gloomy next week.

If it hadn't been for blip I wouldn't have gone out and enjoyed myself fighting with a tripod that I had never used before. Or got all confused by setting on the camera that I don't know what they do and never normaly touch. Bit of advice, if you're going to try this suss out the equipment before you go.

Oh and don't wear your slippers... good as the light was, duck shit was still hard to see!
