Sweet, Sweet November

Thank YOU -- all of YOU -- for cheering with me and celebrating my Blip milestone yesterday. This is the best community anywhere because of YOU!

I will not be able to thank each of you individually for your lovely comments. I am already so behind in my non-Blip life that I'm holding onto the faucet so that I don't go completely down the drain!

Sweet, sweet November has arrived. I love this eleventh month more than any other . . . mostly because it is the month that our nation celebrates the best holiday of all--Thanksgiving, and partially because it is my birthday month. I know that I am old enough to know better than to keep celebrating my birthday with gusto, but I've never outgrown the desire to celebrate. So this is celebration month at the Fun House and Mr. Fun has to put up with the "festive" mood the entire month. I've actually been celebrating since the 17th of October, so that I'd get it right when the 17th of November arrives.

So the pumpkins in today's photo are an image that always bring November to mind. They are also part of the stash that we were able to get at the "Pumpkin Patch" late yesterday afternoon. Year after year the owner of the Patch allows us to come take several wagon loads of pumpkins and gourds for free. I take them to the church to decorate for the Thanksgiving Eve Candlelight Celebration. Once Halloween is over the pumpkins in our vicinity are all gone; therefore, it then becomes difficult, if not impossible, to do the autumn decorating. So for the moment all the pumpkins are stored here at the Fun house.

I baked a loaf of cinnamon bread this afternoon in the bread maker. The wonderful aroma filled the house. I'm be giving the loaf to my daughter tomorrow. Then a true confession is that I'm not doing so well in my role as a student. I started taking a short 4-week online course at the beginning of this week. I'm already behind and thinking I might just consider doing this some other time when my teacher duties are not so overloaded. On a happier note I started the Christmas music playing here in the house today. I love it. So at the moment we have a blend of two heart warming holidays parading through our lives.

Again, THANK YOU everyone for yesterday's celebrating.
Good night from Southern California.
