Stoorie

I had rescued this old typesetters job case years ago and always had had plans to do something with it at some point. It never happened.

But I picked it up again today and as I turned it over I noticed a single word scratched in ink on its underside that I never noticed before - 'stoorie'. And the name seemed to fit this dusty old artefact perfectly so I brought it home today with the intention of definitely getting around to doing something with it this time, most probably with a blip theme of some sort.

It's a solidly built thing and it just reeks of age. Samantha says it smells fusty but to me that's no bad thing, it gives it a whiff of character. All the compartments are chalked up with the letter of the glyphs that each contained but unfortunately none of the movable type that came from here remains, which is a pity, as it would have been worth a blip or two in itself.

There's 88 compartments and I've posted 240 blips so far so I'm thinking there's probably a bit of selecting to be done. Maybe there won't be a single image in each, maybe I'll split images across sections. And I'm not seeing lots of bright colours; maybe something more subtle...

Mmmm... time to have a wee think over something else mature and characterful... where's that Malt?

Have a good one folks.
