Tulum for a Day

Day 4

We took another excursion; this time to the south of Cancun. Tulum was soooo much better than Chichen Itza. It was more beautiful, the ruins were more accessible, the city is on the ocean instead of the interior of the Yucatan peninsula, the beach was fantastically picturesque... I could go on.
While I do not ever want to go to Chichen Itza again.. Tulum, on the other hand, I would re-visit. Reminder to future Liz to bring a towel next time so I can go swim in the sea.
We stopped at Xpu Ha next to visit the ecological resort.
(Coolest sight to behold there was the flock of flamingos that charged us when we were watching them. They were trying to scare us away in a most synchronized fashion.)
Julie and I took some kayaks out among the mangroves and raced each other while she steered me into every possible tree limb that she could. I misunderestimated* her.
Apparently there was a manatee swimming around among the mangroves about 30 minutes before we got there. Blast!
I'm not in a hurry to stay at that particular resort though. 'Tis a nice place to visit though.

Blip Reject for yesterday at Chichen Itza. I love that woman.

*If you don't get it, then you don't get it. Move along. My grammar is fine.
