No more ice on the mini pond

We had another great day at the allotment. After pruning one of our neighbour's apple trees we managed to "spring clean" most of the flowers borders. Weather was sunny, there was almost no wind and the robins, blue tits and black birds were singing their hearts out.

As you can see there's now almost no snow left - and the ice on the mini pond has finally thawed. Snow drops, winter aconites, croci and adonises are flowering.

It was very hard to leave - but we managed to get away just after sunset. :-)

One Year Ago: Snowdrops on a summery day
