Dutch Skies

Schildmeer

This morning I woke up without a headache; can't tell you how good that feels! The weather was perfect for taking pictures outside: beautiful skies and partly cloudy.

Nienke and I drove to a small lake called Schildmeer. Unfortunately, by the time we got there, the sun was hidden behind the clouds and the wind made it rather cold. We sat down in a very nice restaurant called "De Koperen Scheepshoorn" (The Brass Ship's Horn) and enjoyed a cup of tea and some ice cream.

After that, we went outside to take some pictures but because of the wind Nienke wanted to return to the car very soon. No problem; we had a great time and I managed to get some nice shots.

It was a close call between the shot you're looking at and this one. Nienke is a bit disappointed because I didn't choose the picture with her in it... Oh, if you don't mind me saying: I think today's blip doesn't look bad at all in large...

Have a great Saturday, folks!
