Bluebell Wood

I have waited until the month of June to take a photograph of some bluebells, as I wanted to link it to the words of a favourite song of mine, from The Great Lakes album by McIntosh Ross. I have enjoyed Ricky Ross/ Deacon Blue's music for years, and I will let you into a little secret - I sang backing vocals on a track on one of his early albums.

Bluebell Wood
Today's the day we got married in June.
All of the bluebells were out in the woods.

Under a sky, heavy and grey
Thunder threatening the day.
Today's the day we got married in June.
All of the bluebells were out in the woods.

We danced to our song and stepped in the car
Drove under a blanket of stars.

Today's the day we got married in June.

Today's the day we got married in June,
All of the bluebells were out in the woods.
