Day 16: Passage of the Mangroves

Can you believe the colour of the water? I couldn't get enough of it. I pointed the camera, set the time to 1/250 and shot and crossed my fingers. I couldn't see a thing because of the glare.

We took a trip around the top end of the island where the Maya had dug a passageway between what is now Mexico and Belize. They cut the pennisula in two with stone tools. We cruised through the mangrove, snorkeled and drank beer and ate bar be que on the beach.

I watched the frigatebirds soaring, the terns cruising along and didn't want it to end.
