Not as dedicated a blipper as dieseldaisyThe wind is incredible, you really cannot stand upright in it - got blown over the stile when I went out to do the hens this morning and then blown into a wall. The furthest Ollie and I have been is round the back of the house, where it is a little bit more sheltered, for a kick about with his football. (It's a really good one that he found on the beach ages ago, and which has withstood hours of abuse!)

Got the Christmas cake made today. It's just out the oven, and it smells wonderful. Was just praying that there wouldn't be a power cut while it was cooking. The power tends to go off in bad weather so I lit the fire early on and have had a cosy day doing very little apart from the odd comment on blip!
