Loch Morlich & Cairngorm

The weather was horrible today, so when the moon came out this evening, I went on a little adventure - the thought being if I could catch the loch in the moonlight then that would be cool.

But it was not to be. By the time I drove there (5 mins), the moon had hidden herself again behind the ugly clouds.

So, instead you get a long exposure shot across Loch Morlich towards the Cairngorm Mountain. The bright lights you can see is the day lodge and the diagonal line going up to the left is the funicular railway.

I'm pretty pleased with the way the low cloud has come out partially masking the mountains - although it did take a few tries to get it right!
