Walking

Past few days Campbell has trudged his way the mile and half down the hill to school. We realised that the only shoes that fitted him weren't really up to snow conditions so he donned his Dad's winter walking boots. Accompanied by balaclava and hat and gloves and 43 layers of fleece and waterproof he was well equipped for any wild weather which would come his way.

However he was even more delighted when he found some walking poles at the back of the cupboard and insisted he needed those too. I should be thankful he didn't discover the ice axes!

We're off out to the island tree lighting ceremony later, mulled wine and mice pies in the hall afterwards. Always gets the festive season off to a good start.

As does this.
