The Mighty Bunsen

"Sir, Sir! Can we use the Bunsens?"

"Can we burn something/anything?"

"C'mon, let us use the Bunsens?"

Is there anything more symbolic of school science than the Bunsen burner?

Who hasn't melted a biro, destroyed countless spills/splints or even waved their hand through the yellow flame? (All of which I discourage of course!)

For such a simple device they can be temperamental and need a bit of tlc in order to function correctly.
