Beach Buggy

Daddy day this afternoon so we went for the usual lunchtime wander from nursery to aid toddler to nap. After about an hour she was asleep and I decided to wander down to see the sea.

Incredibly loads of the shingle between Eastney and South Parade Pier had washed away leaving a lovely sandy beach. Well I was not going to miss the opportunity so I grabbed an overly increased in priced coffee (Note to Coffee Cup - dont treat your customers like idiots and announce that you have had to increase you prices due to the VAT increase and then increase your prices by five times that amount) and headed onto the beach, buggy and sleeping Toddler in hand.

Usually you cant get the buggy on the beach as it gets stuck in the shingle but today we could charge up and down leaving trails in the sand. It was great. No doubt by next week all the stones will be put back and we will be back rolling along the esplanade with all the Mums.

Toddler woke up when we were almost at South Parade pier so we stopped for a breather. She then insisted we go back and get home as she had a hair appointment at 4pm.

She needed have worried as we got there in plenty of time meaning I got to do the old classic of walking in with my big bald shiny head stating I have an appointment. As usual she was fantastically well behaved and now like her Daddy has hair that does not go in her eyes, though it is much prettier and much, much longer.

Later in the evening Toddler exclaimed to me "your not people, your Mummy and Daday". Very Profound indeed.
