How satisfying it is to be proved wrong.

On June 1 last year, I blipped about the boarded-up Phoenix pub, writing that it needed a miracle to reopen after being closed since 2008.

I could hardly believe my eyes when I walked past the pub this week and discovered that it had been done up and was back in business.

According to one website, it is serving the real ales Butcombe Bitter and Sharpe's Doom Bar as well as Weston's Cider.

I think I might head down there to toast its future.
