Thursday 10 March 2011: First lizard

Not the first one I've seen this year, but the first one I've photographed. Definitely a sign of spring, this one was on the wall by the path to our garden and there were several smaller ones nearby which scuttled under stones as I approached.

This is a Common wall lizard, Podarcis muralis, and they are very common here.
