Family Day

A trip to Sumner Beach in Christchurch on a very cold, windy, rainy and bitter day. Both Daughters opted for the warmth of a cafe brunch which was also quite appealing to myself and hubby.

It was a bit of a mission getting there as the roads are terriable - a real city safari!! Quite lumpy, bumpy with potholes, raised mounds of tarseal, liquidfication and some flooding in areas, detours of which there were plenty but businesses are open and looking for support. We enjoyed out brunch over looking the sea - for such a bitter day it was fairly calm but the wind made many patterns on the water and flickered with the light.
